UPDATE!!: As of 9/6, I-movie started working again (somewhat) I managed to fix many of the problems listed below! Also, the end portion of the file freezes, so I'm seeing if it'll work now! There should be credits now, but for some reason they weren't showing before. Link to the movie (download/pause feature available): drive.google.com/file/d/0B4Gn_…
Hey there, fellow members of Blender-Nuts! I am proud to present my submission to the Aug/Sept Diligent Recreation contest of this Group:
This contest inspired me, and I decided to attempt to recreate ALL my past works. While this soon became impossible as I was overloaded with schoolwork, I managed to recreate most of my submissions. They are displayed above, with the original or recreation in a smaller window.
Thank you sooo much for the extension!!! My computer wasn’t allowing me to export my artwork on the day the contest was due, and I was devastated that I wouldn’t be able to participate in such a wonderful contest.
FIXED: Due to my crazy workload, I accidentally switched up some of the recreations with the originals. I will leave it up to your judgment to figure out which is which.
FIXED: There are several spelling/grammar mistakes which I tried to correct, but when I export the movie, they revert to their original (incorrect) forms, so I gave up. The main one is where it says "ION the bowl" it should be "INTO the bowl"
Also, I included two WIPs at the end of the video because I wished to chronicle the past present and future of my experiences with Blender. I know this contradicts one of the rules. However, this video consists mostly finished work and I believe that that restriction was only put in place to prevent the submission of works that were entirely WIP.
This project made me realize just how far I’ve come with Blender. I hope others can have the same experience, and therefore I have launched a group (BlenderTutors) dedicated to helping others in achieving success with Blender. The group was inspired by this very group as well as several other friendly deviants .
I am rather new to Blender-Nuts but have been greatly enjoying this new community of artists. I would like to wish everyone a wonderful 3-day weekend and the best of luck in their future Blendevors!
